AK1/AndersonKenya1 Website and Moderation Thread || What's Happening? What's Going On?

CONTENT WARNING: The following thread may contain subject matter not suitable for younger readers and content that some may find disturbing or triggering. Viewer's/reader's discretion is strongly advised. This will have mentions and discussions of lolicon, suicide, gore, and more. Also, THIS IS GOING TO BE VERY LONG.

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT to send hate or send harassment just anyone's way. This is for explanation purposes only. Please do not under any circumstance go out to harass, target or harm anybody involved.

I wouldn't know what subcategory to put this in, so I'm leaving this here seeing as by the looks of things, many who came from this website has come here. I'm not a professional by any means, but I will at least try and get and give out much of and most of the information that I was able to find here. Alongside any other findings that I'm at least personally aware of, others can feel more than free to contribute if they wish, and anything important I will add as edits to this. However, I would like it if we can try and keep discussions respectful. As I highly doubt that DoomJoshuaBoy would like to deal with any problems related to a thread like this being made. Furthermore, and additionally, it could potentially escalate the situation further than we're currently at. Seeing that there appears to be many players and groups involved in this. But for the sake of myself and potentially others who are still learning about what is going on, this could potentially serve as a helpful starting point for anybody who doesn't seem to know nor' understand what is going on. Names and groups will be listed and mentioned, however it is highly discouraged to interact or reach out at your own discretion. As this is a very sensitive and still developing situation. And I'm only doing this for the sake of people like myself so that way there's at least some kind of explanation. As there doesn't seem to be anywhere else that's discussing this just in the proper key details. This will be quite a wall to read. However, citations, links, and anything else I can provide reliably will just be posted here. And if DJB wishes to remove this thread, or make edits to it altogether himself, can feel more than free to. Anyways I hope that this is well formatted for anybody trying to read and figure out everything.

Humble Beginnings:

So for those who are lurkers, or those who are unaware, AK1/AndersonKenya1 is a website hosted by a man of the same name. The website was well known for being an alternative source for MUGEN files and sharing for collectors and likely even for a time creators alike to post and share their files as another website that anybody getting into MUGEN has likely heard of, being MUGEN Archive. Seeing as, from what little information is out there that I can still find, something known as "The MUGEN Wars" had caused some kind of uproar back in the day, and eventually had lead to some decisions by the creator of said website to ban and or limit others. Especially lurkers. Which is likely when AndersonKenya's website was being recommended for others.

A playlist of really old rant video can be found here

You can find a lot of early mentions of AK1 through this playlist, including a video by a user by the name of Katsup Sauce. However, if you wish to know the general complaints that people had with MUGEN Archive, here's the main ones:

1) Limiting Lurkers to only be able to download amount of files and some of specific sizes without an account.
2) The website having a timer between searches whenever you use the search feature. Sometimes having a negative value for the interval time that you can search again in case you had a typo or had done something wrong.
3) Probably the more important of which, bandwidth being so limited and quite unclear to its own userbase. And prioritizing those who were willing to give money, and who would upload as they put it "quality uploads" quite consistently. Which for anybody well versed in MUGEN could likely tell you, for the frequency that they were requesting uploaders and more importantly creators to make, wouldn't be seen as very viable at the time.
4) You would likely get banned if you gave them any criticism of any kind whatsoever. Mistreating their userbase.

So, this is where the website came around as our main subject matter, seeing as around this time. People called and declared MUGEN Archive as a scam. And even a creator eventually had made what is known as a "punching bag" character for MUGEN of the creator's website. Which is for some reason on the "Highest Rated" section for AK1's website itself. Meaning that people took the time to leave reviews and writing out their own feelings and thoughts for the character itself.

SPOILER: Some Notable Comments and Reviews From The File Itself:
CONTENT WARNING: ABELIST HATE SPEECH

Even a video was created specifically to just show off the punching bag to show the MUGEN Community's disdain for them at the time.
EPILEPTIC CONTENT WARNING: FLASHING LIGHTS

This YouTube creator by the name of Katsup Sauce will become quite relevant later, believe it or not. But anyways to continue....

AK1 for a good period of time became more and more relevant for the preservation and distribution of files. Having many members from MUGEN Archive's prior administration and or moderation team coming to come help. Some of which you can find even here on this website. Others from the forum known as MUGEN Free For All. Which would include the likes of people such as CinderFallsFan64 if I'm not mistaken who would also later go on to moderate things for the website. You can find various reliable archives through here going as far back as 2016 to as early as 2025. However for now, I'll be leaving the archive of my choice from August of 2019 as some of the website is more recognizable this way. The website has had an issue with being archived via The Wayback Machine, and I wouldn't be all too sure as for the why. So for future reference, using Archive Today would likely be more reliable to getting archives that although may not have hyperlinks work, it will at least have a screenshot of sorts that you can view and access. Although when looking through that website, its archives only have two screengrabs for the main front page, one being in 2023, and the other being for 2025, seeing as you'd need someone actively taking the time out of their own day whether manually or via a program that does it automatically for you consistently to get various archives sadly.

Anyways... I believe that it's time to at least talk about some issues that were present within AK1's website at the time that I'm at least personally aware of. Some others here can feel free to correct me and inform me if I have missed anything or if there was other issues that I wasn't aware of. But I am going off of videos here and I'll be sharing the media here later on down this thread's OP.

SPOILER: THE ISSUES OF AK1MUGEN'S WEBSITE AND MODERATION AT THE TIME
1 - For a period of time, there was an image gallery that was accessible to all users. Many had uploaded NSFW/Sexually Explicit Content that could be shown to anybody at the time.

The response to this as far as I'm aware was AndersonKenya himself just removing the gallery altogether. Likely to just make moderation of this part of the website easier. However I'm sure that there's more to this that can be said.

2 - Files would likely be bad/corrupted/Go Missing.

This is still an issue to this very day. And at times, people could unknowingly download "Dragons". Which are for the not initiated, a slang term used by MUGEN creators and collectors as Trogons or Viruses disguised as character files.

3 - Moderation although was passionate at the time, could be quite limited in scope, and files could be much harder to moderate at the time.

Because of people coming to the website likely in droves, people could end up having a lot on their plate if they ever became a moderator or an admin themselves. In spite of how passionate the team could be, Anderson himself also at the time was likely focused on his main YouTube channel, which primarily only focused on MUGEN battles likely just built with the warehouse website he just built at the time while also trying to encourage people to use his website at the time.

The last video released on his YouTube channel, in spite of still being active on platforms like Discord was uploaded April 19th 2025. A year ago.

SPOILER: SOME OF MY OWN THOUGHTS
Which side note, to provide at least my own commentary here. I do find to be quite strange. Considering that Anderson was barely active just within recent years of AK1 itself. Which if you have the time to create just making videos like these. Likely using something like OBS to record, and just having a MUGEN build at the ready, while being able to write out a unique description, I do believe you should be able to just for a small and or brief period of time, even just a few minutes could just go into your own website just to basically loosely moderate. However, that's just me.

In spite of all this however, AK1MUGEN grew strong, accumulating a bit over 100 thousand registered accounts. Which for a long period of time, couldn't be deleted up until recently. Which if I'm not mistaken doesn't follow with EU law, but don't quote me on that one.

Screencap From: AndersonKenya1.net

The moderation team did change a lot within the span of many years. But no moderators would be as notable for the website's changes in moderation and staff than one specific user. Who went by a very different alias than we know them by now.

Meet: dgsgqa aka, Pow Pink

Pow Pink as far as we know is a 22 year old female asexual and fictosexual MUGEN creator from Chile and will be a key figure just in what has happened up to now. And well, understand that this is when the thread starts to get a little bit graphic. I will be trying to make sure that my language is properly adjusted for this website's moderation, and hopefully any videos and images provided for context and evidence are properly censored when necessary but there's no promises that I can make this perfect. Anyways...

From their profile, it says that they joined AK1's website back in early September of 2022, which I do find to be quite notable.

However, I was able to find this archive from February 5th 2025. which although doesn't seem to be working with archive today for some reason, I still have a screenshot which shows that their status as Admin or as she calls herself currently the "Big Boss" is quite recent.

1777323341341.webp
Screencap from: Archive Today

Although, for a long period of time, Pow Pink was just someone that most would know for being in charge of how to get access to the NSFW/18+ sections of the website to access NSFW content on the website itself. However, although I will not be linking the content here. Pow Pink was active on other MUGEN forums specifically for 18+ MUGEN characters and creations. I'll leave it at, if you know where to look you can find them and their posts.

Although I'm currently unsure of what the relationship between Pow Pink and AndersonKenya1 was at the time, and currently still is, as most of us don't seem to know, there was something for a period of time on the rules of the AK1 MUGEN forum. Though, funnily enough, it seems that Pow Pink or at least somebody else thought that they could remove the original link/thread of the upload rules and so therefore people wouldn't be able to normally find it. However, I was able to get not only a link well before this had happened, but also with said link gather archives. This is the cleanest archive I was able to find if you wish to read for yourself. However it should be noted that it says explicitly that for 18+ content that no nudity should be in it whatsoever for the preview.

However, for those who don't know, a user by the name of Noxxy was the creator of the rules forum as far as I am aware. Which I was only able to find out through mass digging through archives which can be found here.

However, from what I understand, there was a period of time where things such as
lolicon and shotacon were not generally accepted during this time within the community even when Pow Pink was also an administrator.

Screenshot From: Katsup Sauce

Especially with being within the usernames of one's profile prior to Pink's administrator status being given . Nor' any explicit NSFW content. At least from what I was able to find. But this is where the user by the name of Katsup Sauce comes back into play.

On December 23rd 2025, Katsup Sauce releases a video by the title of
"Investigating AK1's Incompetent Mod Team"

CONTENT WARNING: ABELIST HATE SPEECH

To make a summary of this video for those who don't wish to watch a 40 minute long video. I'll just make some bullet points in summary.

Katsup Sauce goes into the video as follows:

> He talks about how this video is to give out a summary of how he believes that the current mod team should be replaced, if not, educated on how to be good or better moderators than they currently are.
He feels that what he has found is not appropriate for a website full of children accessing it.
He starts off introducing the staff at the time.
Supervisors Being: GreatFunk (who he describes as a
"Retard"), Thespeedster (whom he doesn't know much about) shevilol (who he has never seen before in spite of being active on the site for four years), CriminaL (whom he has also never seen), and Colobucci (whom he also doesn't know much about).
Moderators Being: Linkgamer2004 and Karu9
Global Moderator: doomjoshuaboy
Administrators: SDK123 and dgsgqa (also known as Pow Pink) whom were the most active of the staff.

They mention how the staff is not doing well by going into something that is known as "The Yoonbin Incident"

SPOILER: Brief Summary of Yoonbin Incident

A user by the name of yoonbin16 who is well known for sharing MUGEN compilations on AK1 was told by Joshua at the time that gore was staying within the NSFW section of the website at the time. With the NSFW section being known as "Freaky". Yoonbin seemed to have an issue with this considering that there was no prior explanation and just felt like that there was inconsistent moderation on how content was being managed on the website alongside unclear and indirect communication between the staff team and the users when it came to this executive decision. The exchange between them and Yoonbin is shown within the video.

> Katsup while describing the incident talks about how the moderation seems quite inconsistent on how the NSFW section is moderated and handled talking about characters with gore present. Such as a Ronald Donald edit, and characters from the indie game made within the MUGEN engine known as Black Heart. Also bringing up the Mortal Kombat series being synonymous with gore just as a whole due to its fatalities. Pointing out what they see as an inconsistency within moderation at this point and time. Suggesting to either follow the rule or remove it.
Katsup talks about how the communication from Joshua leaves more to be desired.
Katsup goes on to explain how AK1 isn't necessarily for kids, but it's where most of the children go anyways. Saying if they're doing this, maybe they should possibly rethink this decision but instead shows the following screenshots from the AK1 moderation discord server.
DMs from the AK1 Mugen are shown that reveals that instead of speaking with Yoonbin properly, a suggestion to ban her was the first option brought up.
Pow Pink asks when the NSFW category was just exclusively for characters with Intimate NSFW Content, making note that there are characters with gore in the "Freaky" section.
The staff team feels that they should ban them, as they interpreted their actions as something more malicious potentially. Interpreting their own actions in bad faith.
The Admin Karu9 makes it clear that they will ban Yoonbin, with Pow Pink making it clear to just leave a 6 month warning instead. Just to be more careful.
Pow Pink goes on to rant about how they don't like how they don't like how they're being compared to MUGEN Archive. Saying that they don't understand what it's like to be the one behind the wheel of moderation.
Katsup Sauce claims that there was some kind of bad blood due to Yoonbin being involved in a Discord server known as "Skyvesta" (I don't personally know what this is, but Katsup Sauce seems to be quite intimately familiar and aware of this topic. Apparently, there's some kind of document and video by Noxxy which I haven't found as of writing).
Katsup claims that guilt by association was what got Yoonbin banned for the day from here, as Yoonbin and Kura9 had settled their differences in DMs after this exchange within the moderation team's Discord server.
Katsup uses this situation to show that the moderation team cannot handle criticism well, and shows a shortsighted view on their moderation as a whole.
Katsup then claims that the "Freaky" section was created due to someone creating a stage with a bit of gore in it, and that there was an argument that ensued to create an NSFW section and for the stage, made a section called "Freaky" to try and sweep a mistake under the rug. According to them.
Katsup then talks about how someone uploaded a Super Null character, which is something that's created to try and push the limits of the engine.
There was an exe file within the file known as "MEMEZ". This was in actuality just a txt file renamed to look like an exe.
Katsup talks in detail about the inexperience of SDK and Joshua at the time as they show that character files have txt files that show the information of the character is the same as the txt file name.
SDK123 and Joshua weren't sure if what they were handling was a virus, so Joshua put the MEMEZ.exe file through VirusTotal and it showed nothing as a result.
SDK123 says that they don't trust the file, and told Joshua to delete it. Following orders, Joshua does so.
Katsup then goes on to explain a situation that LinkGamer2004 was part of within the Skyvesta discord server.
People had allegedly found out that LinkGamer2004 had been in contact and friends with a creator by the name of Sorai_Kouya.
Sorai_Kouya is a somewhat infamously well known creator for creating one of the largest known MUGEN characters currently known. Adachi.
Koyua has a history of keeping "foreigners" away from specific files. Which is quite controversial and potentially damaging to maintaining and growing a community.
Kouya allegedly has a documented history of handing out folders with password protected encryption with dummy files of characters that didn't exist that they gave out to "foreigners" exclusively. Likely to waste their time, patience and efforts trying to get a quality file from a creator that they enjoyed and appreciated the work of.
Katsup then shows some Twitter DMs between LinkGamer2004 and Sorai_Kouya, where LinkGamer had given advice to Kouya about not using Onedrive to store their OC MUGEN files (Original Characters).
Kouya asks them some questions to try and figure out a means to try and keep their files private. LinkGamer then gives them advice on just how to do that properly. Warning him about how there are leakers within the MUGEN community, making a slight mention of another creator by the name of Kamome (not personally aware of who that is either).
LinkGamer then gives Kouya files for what is likely a character known as "Luna".
Katsup ends up claiming that LinkGamer2004 was aiding and helping Kouya gatekeeping his private characters.
The xenophobic reasons that were given for why is it that the characters weren't being shared were always a big point of contention. To the point that when people within Skyvesta decided in according to Katsup Sauce on June 26th 2025, remove LinkGamer for gatekeeping. Giving the option to LinkGamer to share the files to post phone the poll for the vote to remove them.
5 days later, LinkGamer banned Noxxy, the head of the Skyvesta discord at the time on the AK1 Website. Bypassing the 3 points rule for removal. The reason given was "File Leaking"
Katsup claims that there was no evidence of this ever occurring and that with his own conversations with Noxxy, she doesn't release anything given to her unless it's already out to the public.
LinkGamer didn't get away with this however. As the ban was uplifted. However, he was never removed from his position of power.
Katsup Sauce then goes on to talk about how he will prove that the staff team is as he calls them "useless"
Katsup Sauce had a question of whether or not the 18+ section of the website had
lolicon within it. Making a note and mention of the rules that Pow Pink herself also wrote saying the following quote: "We do not accept mods who support loli/shota pornography".
However this was changed by June 4th of 2025 presumably, with all mentions of
lolicon being removed.
Katsup Sauce decides to ask the moderation team if lolicon content was still banned.
He asked SDK123, Karu9, LinkGamer2004. With them all replying.
Yes.
> However, in spite of this, there were a total of 92 files that Katsup Sauce was able to find which contained content of underaged characters for intimate NSFW character files.
Katsup Sauce makes a mention of how there was sexually explicit content visible within the previews of some of the files as well.
(This could potentially be a violation of an older rule that I had made note of much earlier within this post).
> Katsup Sauce continues to say that it's very likely that nobody part of the administration had likely looked through the section.
Katsup Sauce had also ended up asking DoomJoshuaBoy if
lolicon was banned too, and instead of responding to the question, being unaware, asked the rest of the administration to clarify and ensure that they gave an accurate answer at the time.
Katsup Sauce makes a note that there was no rule against posting
lolicon content. In spite of there not being any mention within the rules themselves, which was important due to the fact that moderators and admins were saying it was such an "obvious" rule.
> Katsup Sauce then goes on to talk about Pow Pink from here, thinking that they were kicked out, because someone was venting in the AK1 MUGEN chat box. Thinking it was as he calls it "Suicide Baiting" (the right term he would be looking for would actually be sympathy baiting).
Pow Pink banned the person who was venting. The other moderation members thought that the timing wasn't good, suggesting that he shouldn't be banned.
Katsup then goes on to show a tweet where Pow Pink claims that she was kicked as a mod on AK1.
Katsup suggests that Pow Pink could then go on to post on MUGEN Archive (in spite of Chile having been IP Banned by MUGEN Archive itself). And or using a google website. (We'll talk about this suggestion later)
Katsup Sauce also makes a note of how Pow Pink wasn't actually kicked, but instead was demoted from "Administrator" to "Global Moderator".
What this has to do with the lolicon question that was brought up, is that Pow Pink had made it clear towards Karl/Katsup Sauce, that
Lolis and Shotas could be found within the submissive section of the 18+ section of the website.
In spite of public showings of disdain and condemnation of lolicon content. Katsup Sauce had found 78 total files posted by Pow Pink containing
lolicon and or shota content.
Katsup Sauce then says that this should constitute a ban.
Katsup Sauce concludes the video with a message to the staff. Saying that he will help them. In spite of the hostility shown. He gives them the following orders of business:

Remove the
lolicon and shotacon present on the website.
The option provided if SDK123 didn't want to do it, they could get noxxy to do so. Who was apparently removed because of issues related to communication.
Related to the
lolicon, they demand that the people who posted the content within the past will be banned or given warning points. Demanding that a user by the name of alienbob, for saying something that I think is best described as obscene.
Katsup's third demand is that the staff must communicate with each other much better. As they have poor communication working together. Needing to understand what one another is saying, questioning and punish properly and treating fellow staff members as real people. Taking whatever steps necessary. As there's a likely note of impulsive decisions being made in the past.

The final demand is that a joint statement and apology must be made by the staff team. For their failures as a team to handle, manage and moderate the website accordingly. Also suggesting that AndersonKenya1 himself should be given an apology as well. And this video will be shown to him.
Katsup remains hopeful that things will be better within the year and things will get better, so that way things can and will be better for the users on the website.

In conclusion, Katsup had shown a very lengthy essay trying his best to go over where he felt that the administration team had been failing in his eyes. And although I personally believe that if he genuinely cared about the safety of minors, more than just lolicon content should have been brought up. Furthermore, describing people in such ableist terms such as retard, regardless of the intentions of his video here, really does hurt the message he was trying to get across I feel. But realistically, the public mockery of such things as well, specifically in how the moderation team had gone about some things, could have likely contributed towards some moderation not taking the suggestions and the criticisms as seriously as it should have been at the time.

Later however, after this video's release, a discord was released between Katsup Sauce, OldGamer, and SDK123 which I will not be summarizing here. However, should be noted nonetheless considering that a lot of claims are also made within this. And although I do have my questions related to OldGamer's testimony, there are some other things that should be brought up. Such as how there's a very clear lack of citations and sources for some other lesser claims within Katsup's initial video. How he wishes to continue will be entirely up to him, but there are more things to go over.

A Discord Call With OldGamer and SDK123 by: Katsup Sauce

There's a follow up video about Pow Pink herself that Katsup Sauce had made that I highly suggest and advise all those whom haven't seen it, go watch it now. Titled "Pow Pink Is a Dishonest, Manipulative Liar and I Can Prove It"
CONTENT WARNING: MENTIONS OF CSAM

However, if you don't have the time and only wish to see something that's important to those whom have signed up for the AK1 MUGEN website, I believe that you should watch his follow up after this video. Called: "Clarifying Things I Said in the Pow Pink Video".
CONTENT WARNING: MENTIONS OF CSAM

Specifically within the timestamp of 39:05, Katsup Sauce had made a note that Pow Pink had changed the password on his account for his AK1 MUGEN. And additionally had signed his email up for various adult baby diaper websites and dating websites. So just in general, be weary of what Pow Pink may do whenever she does find word of more people speaking negatively about her. Considering that she's willing to take this kind of action towards someone of this nature. And although there are fair criticisms that should be brought up to Katsup Sauce his methods here and other users who have gotten themselves involved, it should be noted that it's necessary for creators and more importantly uploaders who have used the website within the last 10 years.

Because, what was the thing that people had issue with when it came to MUGEN Archive?
1777322238990.webp
Screencap From: AndersonKenya1.net

Limiting what files people can download. And note this is not the only example I have. This means that they're able to, at any point, do exactly what MUGEN Archive did, and limit the downloads as they see fit to anybody who isn't signed in, and remove anybody who dares criticize them, and even restrict access to their own accounts, and potentially sign them up for something that they didn't wish for whatsoever allegedly. And furthermore, if one wishes to criticize how is it that MUGEN is endangering minors, it's important to also show content like this.

1777322346918.webp
Screencap From: AndersonKenya1.net

The word "hentai" is a Japanese term for sexually explicit material. Which means, that anyone at any age, regardless of whether or not they have an account can have access to this term and search it up on their own. Therefore, exposing them to explicit content that they should not be seeing as a direct result of the staff team's own decisions and the moderation's lack of safeguards. And although there is definitely more that will likely be needed to go over some day, this is what's going on now.

Users are leaving the website because of Pow Pink and her own executive decisions, and furthermore, alienating the users who are already on the website and have likely been there for close to a decade or more. Limiting what users can download and just if they wish to, remove anybody they want for whatever reason they see fit. And although for most cases, this is common practice, the decisions being made are not being made in good faith at least in my feeling and opinion. I believe that there needs to be a more serious discussion about options for MUGEN collectors, and creators alike just so that way we can ensure that content is available to all, and more importantly, safe for those whom wish to access and or use it at the appropriate age.

I would have added more videos, but the website doesn't allow more than 5 pieces of media for, some reason.... But I will add more to this thread as things continue alongside additional findings. Because the additional things I know I have at least found are things that aren't talked about as much.
