But the thing is we cannot rewrite history. The original version was 1.1b and was indeed made by zesensei
Yes, an 18k slot screenpack being for the most RAM-dependent version of mugen. ironic.
And when he made this screenpack, he made this very clear in his read me:
"This screenpack was made mainly to host the Mugen Museum of Electrocaid.
The Mugen Museum is not inclued in this screenpack.
You can find the Mugen Museum (a list of all works created for Mugen) at http://dsarena.free.fr
This screenpack needs a lot of memory to run, and a good processor due to the use (abuse) of HD graphics.
This screenpack can host up to 18,200 characters.
This screenpack is optimized for a resolution of 1280*960 (4:3)
If you have to blame someone for this screenpack, mail me zesensei@free.fr
If it's ok for you, also...
Thanks to the following for their help making this screenpack
- Hloader for making the sfz3 HD screenpack, and give me permission to use it for this one (mainly fight effects).
- Electrocaid to give me all materials used in this screenpack, inspiration, ideas, bug reports
- Dark Saviour for hosting the Mugen Museum and still be there after all those years
- Elecbyte for making Mugen and make me dream since 1998
- My family, for all
- You, for reading this readme and download this screenpack
FAQ :
- Wait, there's no characters! Where's the select.def file?
Simply copy (or create) you favorite select.def file into the data/mmatrix folder. There are slots for a lot of fighters.
- I can't run the screenpack, Mugen crash !
Too bad, buy a more powerfull computer
You should use another HD screenpack lighter if you don't need to put so much fighters at the same time.
- But...
Maybe I'll do another version later wich could load as much fighters but without movies and memory issue.
But beware: when loading, mugen use memory to create the select screen, and the more fighters you have, the more memory you need.
- Where's the intro/logo/credits... whatever storyboard i've seen in the video ?
Same as before, memory issue. It seem when mugen is 'full' it does not load some storyboards. Wait for the light version, guess.
- You #@$! making a screenpack nobody can use ?
Yes. Was mainly for one computer, and one people, Electrocaid.
It's public so anybody can try. But see GPL : 'if it doesn't work, it's not my fault, use at your own risk, bla blah'"
As you can tell because of this I had to get help from IsmaelTheEpic to help convert the screenpack 1.0 and them make the legendary project matter despite it's slight flaws.
