How to install?:

Extract all the files into a folder. If you got them from the gift pack, you might want to rename it to "Tyler_Rasch_Donut".
Put them into the "chars" folder of your MUGEN or IKEMEN build and then go to the "data" folder.
There should be a file called "select.def" in there. Open it up in any editor, Notepad works perfectly fine.
Scroll down to the "Characters" tab and add "Tyler_Rasch_Donut" as it's line below, without any quotations.
Done! You can now play as Tyler in MUGEN!

General information:
______________

So a lot has happened since that Bagelfloss character from 2024. A new, small bagel collab, certainly more exposure for the niche source and - well, I got to participate in the very next big collab!
This character was made for the International Bagel Festival 2025: Mystery Bag. You've likely seen it if you downloaded this from the gift pack, but otherwise, I highly recommend for you to look it up.
But if you haven't, please check it out here!

As the next logical step, Bagelfloss' vile rival and leader of the nefarious Donut Gang, Tyler Rasch now joins the fray in MUGEN.
He and Floss have a lot of parallels while also standing as polar opposites in a lot of ways.
While carrying over the simple playstyle, Tyler has a much richer combo game - instead of specials that swarm the opponent from every side, his specials help extend his combos or open up the opponent for more hits.
Though he lacks a power charge or way to recover health and is harder to master, he can also deal a lot more damage than his rival.
For the opponent, it becomes a requirement to know what moves he and the various characters he summons can be hit out of and which they can't.
One aspect him and Floss share is being full of in-jokes I don't expect anyone outside of the sphere of Bagel to get.
Still, I hope the general wackiness of the character can be appealing both to play as and watch him fight other characters.

Movelist:
______________

Tyler' playstyle allows him to easily combo his moves together by ascending in strength - both of his light attacks combo into each other's medium variants, which go into the strong variant and so on.
At any point, Tyler can end his normal combos with either CCO or the Three Helper Combo and continue into the air from there on.
It's up to the player to choose whether to use shorter, easier combos or use his crouching hard punch to knock opponents away or to go for the execution required to pull off the longest combos possible.

Forward + Y: (close) Back massage:
Tyler grabs his opponent and pummels them on the floor. After the move finishes, he jumps backwards, creating some space between him and the opponent.

Forward + Z: Overhead:
As the name says - this move has to be blocked high or in the air.
It can be chained into from any normal that isn't Tyler's crouching hard punch.

Forward + A: Three-Helper-Combo:
Tyler summons three of his gang members to attack the opponent one after the other.
Once the move connects, reinput to continue the move with the next assist.
Tyler can also forgo any additional hits to instead combo into his CCO special or even some of his supers.
The three assists cannot be hit away, though they do not appear long on screen to begin with.

A (in the air): Donut Remover
Tyler gets help to remove some donuts from the opponent's ears - by dropping a bell on them.
Acting as a spacing tool, it can be used as soon as Tyler is in the air, though there is a cooldown.
The bell cannot be hit away.

B: CCO:
CCO appears in front of Tyler and swings his sword.
If it hits, the opponent is sent straight up, before a donut hits them.
Useful as an anti-air or combo ender, properly timing a jump and following with an air combo is the key for max damage here.
However, CCO can be hit away.

C: Shirobako Girls
The anime girl club of aspiring donut lovers surrounds the opponent before hitting them with five donuts at once.
This acts as a sort of "stun" move, as the opponent is left vulnerable for much longer than Tyler's other moves.
The girls cannot be hit away, but dodging is as simple as running away in either direction.

QCF + X: Donut Boy:
The supercool cop who always gets the bad guys, Donut Boy, appears to throw some donuts at the opponent.
With only a short startup, Tyler can quickly act out of the summon to jump in or quickly use other assists.
However, the throw can be interupted.

QCF +, Y: Miracle Machine:
The Miracle Machine, on his way to the Donut Shop, drives into the opponent multiple times.
He can hit up to four times before driving off. Once he does, Tyler - running along with the attack - can act again.
While the move can hit almost immediately and Miracle Machine has to be hit to cancel the attack - it can still be stopped and leaves Tyler wide open if it is.

QCB + X: Keep Rolling, Jun!:
Jun Suzuki quickly rolls across the floor, likely to get some of those donuts she left on the table offscreen.
Able to hit opponents on the floor, this attack also cannot be stopped but takes a moment to start and is unable to knock opponents down.

QCB + Y: Eye Beam!:
Digiko appears to fire her signature eye beam at the opponent - provided she isn't too hungry to actually fire one, as the attack has a chance to fail and leave Tyler vulnerable.
If she does fire, the laser quickly covers the screen and keeps opponents at bay, allowing for block strings or additional hits.
Digiko can be stopped by hitting her, even during the laser.

2x QCF + X: Masked Singer (1000 power):
Tyler summons his music powered Donut Blaster and busts out some tunes in his favorite disguise.
He cannot be hit during the super, forcing damage - several specials can also lead into this super.
Using it blindly is generally a waste of meter, though it can chip out opponents.

2x QCF + Y: Drop the Krispy Kreme! (1000 power):
Tyler makes use of his donut shop summoning powers and drops a store on the opponent.
The attack is practically unavoidable and has to be blocked standing or in the air, but it can generally not be used as a combo finisher.
With little damage on block, it requires some smart use of his other specials to have it hit.

2x QCF + Z: Gang Beatdown (3000 power):
Tyler's ultimate super. He summons Donut Jesus to send the opponent to a faraway battlefield, where he and the rest of the gang lie in ambush. (or at least, all the members he needs to beat the opponent - who knows how many are truly out there?)
The move deals huge damage if it connects and Tyler is invulnerable until he stops flashing, but being blocked leaves him more than open for any opponent.

Notes:
______________
Has powerful AI, may be hard to fight a human, yada yada - I really don't have any special notes, but I do think this is genuinely the best character I've made so far and hope everyone can enjoy it as much as I did making it.

I want to take this moment to thank everyone who worked on IBF2025 from the bottom of my heart. Being together with all of you in the server was a joy, and I think the quality of everyone's work speaks for itself - we had so many amazing parts made and just generally a lot of fun in the server, what with the hangout sessions and all - thank you, everyone!!
Just to name a few of the folks who helped me:
- smileyshirt, for hosting the collab as well as you did, helping me out when Runway wasn't working and for making the trailer for this very character!
- halfembarrassed, for creating the art in said trailer!
- Moltern, for your move ideas, in particular, the Digiko special wouldn't have been in here otherwise when it's honestly one of my favorite moves of his
- GramBam36, for providing Aoi's voice, first in Moltern's playthrough and now here, too!
- PLX, for making that awesome splash screen seen in the trailer. Seeing your work also had me inspired for Tyler's level 3 and with how it turned out, it's probably my best super yet!
- NerdooderN, for providing quite a few of the new donut sources that ended up being the basis for special moves or even just little references.

A big thanks to Iustinus Tempus for creating the sprites in the special intro when used against Bagelfloss; you did a fantastic job on them!
A big shoutout to Gianni Matragrano for providing the voice of Battler. Thank you very much; you killed it in the performance!
I also want to give a shoutout to the real Tyler Rasch. You're a really impressive guy, and I learned a lot about you and quite a bit about Korean culture while doing research for this character and looking for shows and commercials you starred in. Thank you very much!

Additional special thanks to:

Everyone I took code from, such as Sergio P and N64Mario. Any such sections are credited in the character's CNS files.
Gumhoy: For being an amazing person in general and finally getting me started on my own MUGEN work. Also made the template used for all of my work. A lot of the reason why this got done was because of you giving me motivation.
Arxos: For running the best MUGEN stream around, allowing my work to be shown and entertain others.
SneezeTHPS: For providing several of the sources used in the character and for playtesting it too. You're a great guy!
Z-9 Lurker: A big source of inspiration, motivation, and just a nice guy to be around >:] Working on Gabriel together with you was most enjoyable!
The people behind Runway, for making these tools to help with green screens that save me hours of work when making these characters. Even if your website didn't work for a month straight, this wouldn't have been possible without it.

And everyone who is going to watch this char debut live on SpriteClub. It hasn't yet. Oops.
