-=[Intro]=-
I like this character, although I didn't know him before, it was thanks
to crossovers Capcom with Marvel made I met and learned about him, and
also he's so fun to play with in the games where he appears. Boring to
wait a decent version of Shuma-Gorath (since I don't like Qtrkl! and
Sludge versions), I decided to make my own version of this monster. But
different to the other adaptations, in this one I don't wanted to use
any of his games as base, but simply make him as a normal character, to
make him more interesting. I hope you like my version of Shuma-Gorath :P

-=[Story]=-
 ORIGIN
Shuma-Gorath appeared for first time mentioned in Robert E. Howard's
stories as an evil deity, possibly derived from H.P.Lovecraft's stories
and from monsters like Cthulhu and Yog-Sothoth. Just like much of his
creations, like Conan, Kull and Solomon Kane, Howard's work goes to
Marvel since 60s, who were the responsible of giving him life to this
famous demon. He's represented as a tentacled monster in which center
possesses an only eye and has a very huge size, in a beginning colored
pink to be later colored as green.

 MARVEL COMICS
Shuma-Gorath appeared for the first time mentioned in Marvel Premiere
series to be later converted into an enemy of Doctor Strange. It says he
had appeared on Earth since time immemorial, even appearing during the
dinosaurs age in Prehistory and coming various times to our dimension.
The first one who stopped him was the time-traveller wizard Sise-Neg,
who sealed him so he cannot came back to our dimension. Later he awoke
in the year 15000 BC and was trapped into a mountain by the god Crom,
who died after trapped him. Years later, he appeared in the front of a
Crom follower, Conan, who was tempted by Shuma-Gorath but he rejected
his offer and went to lock up again with the power of Crom. In the
modern age, he fights Doctor Strange possessing his master, the Ancient
One, who Strange killed in order to seal this demon again. Since then,
he will back in various ocasions, appearing recently in the sagas of
2010's The Thanos Imperative and 2013's Infinity.

 CAPCOM
His first appearance outside comics and Howard's works is in 1995's
Marvel Super Heroes Capcom game as part of one of the villains who goes
after Infinity Gems, since this game he takes the monster shape with
tentacles he has on comics, but with a standard size for the game
characters. Also possesses the hability of shapeshifting after he
requires and his super, the Chaos Dimension, is maybe the most powerful
one from the whole game. His success was enough to get back on 1997's
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, 2000's Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and
recently on 2011's Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
as downloadable character.
