Peppino
Made by Somebody407

==Gameplay==
Peppino is a 6-buttoned character who uses 4 buttons for attacks. Z is used to activate Roman Cancels, allowing Peppino to reset into his idle state during attacks. C is used for dodging.
Peppino utilizes many mechanics from different fighting games, with some examples being the Guilty Gear series and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Peppino also utilizes the Mach system from his source game, Pizza Tower. More info on that below

==Pros+Cons==
+ Exceptionally good mobility as well as additional mobility options such as wall jumping and crawling; allows Peppino to apply insane pressure onto opponents
+ Solid mid-range options

- Generally poor hitbox priority for the most part
- Most moves have noticeable ending lag; leaves Peppino vulnerable if moves do not connect or are blocked.

==Mechanics==

Press F or B twice / x+y = Run
		    F or B during Mach 1 - Dashdance
                    F or B during Mach 2 onwards - Turnaround
		    D when running - Roll

z or 3 attack buttons = Roman Cancel

c = Dodge

Tap F/D or s = Parry

D, U / U after using Launcher / a+b = High Jump

any 2 buttons when falling = Recovery

===Mach System===
Peppino has a unique mechanic that takes inspiration from his source game.
Peppino will start running at Mach 1, starting off slower. As he continues to run, he will gradually get faster and faster until he reaches Mach 4.
Peppino can use various moves such as Belly Slide and Dive to reach certain speeds much quicker.
When at Mach 4, Peppino will gain a hitbox that deals a ton of damage! However, it takes a really long time to get to Mach 4 anyway so it'll rarely be used in a serious fight.

==Additional Movement Options==
Peppino has a handful of specific movement options that most characters lack.

U (during Suplex on the ground) = Long Jump - Very self-explanatory.

DF, b (first few frames of running) or D (during Suplex) = Belly Slide - Peppino quickly slides onto the ground while maintaining a low profile. While this move lacks a hitbox, it is great as a utility move since Peppino can avoid many attacks using this move. It will also put Peppino in Mach 3 if he is not already in it, making this a great tool for gaining momentum.

DF, b (jumping forward) or D (during Suplex in the air) = Dive - Peppino does a dive downwards. When he lands while still holding forward, he will start running at Mach 2 speed if not already at it.

==Command Normals==

B, y = Golf Club - By far Peppino's slowest move, but is a launcher that deals high damage and causes guard crush.

D, a (in air) = Body Slam - Peppino starts plummeting to the ground at high speeds, ending with a shockwave that hits nearby opponents.
			    Landing hit is an OTG.

U, a (in air) = Flurry Kick - A 3-hit multi-hit attack. Great for racking up damage and going for higher ranks.

==Specials==

D, DF, F, x/y (Ground/Air) = Shoulder Bash - Peppino charges forward, having different effects depending on if he is in the air or not.
					     On the ground, it has average startup and deals good damage, but is very unsafe on block.
					     On the air, it has an insane amount of startup but goes a long distance, has no landing lag and puts Peppino in Mach 3.

F, D, DF, x/y (Ground/Air) = Rising Uppercut - A three-hit anti-air attack. Great for comboing via Roman Cancels.

D, DB, B, x/y (Ground/Air) = Suplex - A simple command grab that has a lot of utility movement-wise.
				  Suplex can be cancelled into the following: Long Jump*, Belly Slide* or Dive#.
* = Can only be cancelled into on the ground.
# = Can only be cancelled into in the air.

F, D, DF, a/b (Ground) = Super Jump - Peppino charges and can move around when holding the horizontal direction buttons.
				      When the button is released, Peppino will jump up into the air and take opponents who get caught in the air up with him until he reaches the ceiling.
				      While the move does decent damage and is a great anti-air, it leaves Peppino very vulnerable if whiffed.

==Supers==

D, DF, F, x+y = Shotgun (LEVEL 1) - Peppino lunges forward. If he grabs the opponent, he'll launch them up into the air and then get out his shotgun and shoot the opponent upon their descension. Causes wallbounce, making it a potential combo move if positioned correctly.

D, DB, B, a+b = Mort the Chicken (LEVEL 1) - Mort appears from the sky and starts pecking the opponent. A multi-hit overhead attack that has a strong finishing move.

F, D, DF, a+b (AIR OK) = Super Taunt (LEVEL 1) - Peppino does a Super Taunt, damaging and stunning any nearby opponent.
						 The move covers a lot of range, and is a great combo starter.

F, DF, D, DB, B, x+y = Breaking Point (LEVEL 3) - Peppino goes absolutely insane and starts beating down the first opponent he runs into.
						  Not affected by damage scaling.

==Notes==

*Peppino was not built with Simul mode in mind. He should work fine in Simul? Just don't be surprised if there's any goofy stuff happening in said mode.

*Peppino is not WinMUGEN compatible. He will only work on M.U.G.E.N 1.0 and higher.

*This character is open-source. Use it for any of your non-commercial needs, although credit would be very muchso appreciated.
