Meeple (v1.2) by DeluxeGamer705
From: Brawl Stars
======================================================================================================================================

This time something rather unusual for my standards. Kinda tough to make, but I still managed to do it! Anyways, when it comes to Brawl
Stars characters in Mugen, you might easily find a low-quality character with poor balance, questionable spritework, and other jank.
I thought I could do one that doesn't follow these flaws, so I decided to come up with my favourite brawler so far, Meeple. Note that
he has a few cheap stuff such as projectiles that cannot be destroyed and a cheat mode, but I did try my best to balance him.

======================================================================================================================================
1. WHO IS MEEPLE?

Meeple is an Epic Brawler that appears in Brawl Stars, with his class being Controller. He could be unlocked with Pizza Slices from
the Pizza Planet event from January 9th to February 6th of 2025 or can be unlocked from the Starr Road. He is a game master that is against
cheating... except that he's the sole exception to the rules and can break them as much as he wants. In-game, Meeple is a glass cannon
who has low HP and a high damage output. The way he controls the stage is that, with Critical Success, shoot through walls.
He can also summon walls with his Mansions of Meeple gadget, and stun them with Ragequit.

3. GAMEPLAY

-MAIN GAMEPLAY-
Meeple is a character has a mix of keepaway and rushdown, being able to zone the opponents out and even catch them off-guard with Bottom
Cube, and can also approach the opponents and then perform combos on them. When away, it's better to zone out the opponents, especially
if you're playing defensively, and for more aggressive play, get close to the opponent and perform combos on them!

-COMBOS-
Meeple's comboing focuses on chaining moves, being able to chain light normals into stronger normals, as well as specials and hypers,
plus being able to chain some specials into other specials and even cancel them into hypers. He is also able to cancel Surprise Strike
after catching the opponent off-guard into Meeple Spin or 4-hit Kicking, or simply his hypers, whichever you prefer.

In addition, he also has some chain normals which can be performed by pressing the same button after a normal connects. The strong
normal, however, doesn't have any, though it can be cancelled into his crouching light normal.

-MECHANICS-
Meeple has a few mechanics to go through. One of them is a dodge, performed with A (light kick for normal characters). When she performs it,
she does not get hit from melee attacks and projectiles, giving him a defensive tool, unless she is hit by a throw (which WILL hit him, so
don't be surprised when she is hit by a grab for example if she's dodging!). The second one is a power charge, performed with B (medium kick
for normal characters). Doing this will cause Meeple to gain power if the button is held, which will give him faster access to EX specials
and hypers, though this comes at a cost of not allowing him to move, so make sure you don't abuse it too much. The third one is parrying,
performed when you walk forward just before the opponent's attack makes contact, and this mechanic has an airborne version. When performed,
Meeple negates all damage the opponent's attack would do to him, while providing small invincibility to not be hit while parrying. Another
one is an air dash, performed by pressing forward twice to do a forward one and vice versa. This does not give him any unique properties,
but allows him to cancel it into any of his normals, while giving him more air control. And lastly, she has a super jump, performed by
pressing down, and then up. This is mainly a mechanic used for combos, though it can be also used to make Meeple approach the opponent
if they're too high (if you don't like playing keepaway, that is...)

-MOVELIST-
SPECIALS:

Boomhaven: D, DF, F, X/Y/Z
- Meeple shoots a pawn that flies horizontally. This projectile cannot be destroyed, though the projectile does not go through
the opponents. Horizontal distance varies depending on the button pressed. Can be used while airborne.
 - EX version: Projectile goes through the opponents.

4-hit Kicking: B, DB, D, DF, F, X/Y/Z
- Meeple kicks once, which normally whiffs, but if it hits the opponent successfully, he'll follow it up automatically with 3 more kicks.
Good combo tool.
 - EX version: Final hit causes a wall bounce.
  - This is also used for the Guard Cancel, which can be performed by pressing X+Y during blockstun at the cost of 1000 power.

Meeple Spin: D, DB, B, X/Y/Z
- Meeple spins while punching the opponent several times. Can be used airborne and is a great combo tool.
 - EX version: Larger distance.

Surprise Strike: F, DF, D, DB, B, X/Y/Z
- Meeple goes into the other side and kicks the opponent, knocking them down. Can be used to catch the opponent off-guard. Note that Meeple
CANNOT go to the other side if he's not close enough!
 - EX version: Kick causes a wall bounce, and Meeple charges MUCH faster.

Bottom Cube: D, D, X/Y/Z
- Meeple looks down as a cube appears from below, launching the opponent up, causing soft knockdown.
 - EX version: Cube causes hard knockdown and tracks the opponent's position.

Rage Counter: B, F, X/Y/Z
- Meeple stands still for a while, and if he's hit when he's not smiling, he hits the ground hard with his foot. This stuns the opponent for
a while, making it a combo starter.

------------------------
HYPERS:

Pawn Barrage: D, DF, F, D, DF, F, X+Y/Y+Z/X+Z (uses 1000 power)
- A stronger version of Boomhaven where Meeple shoots 5 projectiles that hit the opponent multiple times.

Approaching Kicks: D, DB, B, D, DB, B, X+Y/Y+Z/X+Z (uses 1000 power)
- Meeple slides forward, kicking the opponent four times, causing hard knockdown.

Rapid Gunfire: D, DF, F, D, DB, B, F, X+Y/Y+Z/X+Z (uses 2000 power)
- Meeple shoots from his arms, with the shot not being able to reach the other corner but still has a long range. Can be used while airborne.

Wave Cubes: D, DB, B, D, DF, F, F, X+Y/Y+Z/X+Z (uses 2000 power)
- Meeple summons a wave of large cubes that cause hard knockdown on every hit. May be tricky to avoid, but still blockable. Great zoning tool.

Cube Wall: B, F, B, F, F, X+Y/Y+Z/X+Z (uses 3000 power)
- Meeple throws a cube that creates a wall that launches the opponent extremely high.

-CHEAT MODE-
In a rather unique case, Meeple does not have a Finisher. Instead, he has a Cheat Mode, which lasts for 5 seconds and can be
only used after the "DANGER!" message appears and if he has 3000 power. It is activated by crouching thrice, and pressing X+Y+Z
at the same time. This move can give Meeple two effects, which are randomized:
 - Invincible Mode: Meeple is invulnerable to anything. The background becomes blue during this mode's duration.
 - Rage Mode: Meeple's attack is much stronger by 1.5x, making combos and attacks in general more deadly. The background becomes red during
   this mode's duration.

4. PALETTES
Meeple has a total of 12 palettes, all of which can be selected if you press a different button when you're at the character select screen.
Note that palettes 7-12 can only be selected if you hold start (which is used for the taunt). However, Meeple comes with a palette
selector, which allows the player to select any of the 12 palettes, which can be helpful if they change their mind before the match
can start. Below are the palettes:

A: Meeple (Default)
B: Mortis
C: Colt
X: Strike
Y: Spike
Z: Shelly
Start+A: Mystic
Start+B: Edgar
Start+C: Fang
Start+X: Stu
Start+Y: Colette
Start+Z: Dynamike

5. NOTES

-THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH HIM-
 1. Make a match with him.
 2. Share it with your friends/fans in case you would want them to gain a potential interest in the Mario & Luigi series if they never
played any game from that series.
 3. Give him an A.I. patch if you want his A.I. to be stronger. No permission needed, though credit will be still appreciated. :)
 4. Create additional palettes for him, in case you would want more variety or have your own palettes.
 5. Send me feedback if there are any oddities, oopsies, or bugs, especially that can affect his gameplay.

-THINGS YOU CANNOT DO WITH HIM-
 1. Make NSFW/18+ edits (this includes vore edits.).
 2. Bash him (it's a waste of time. There are better ways of using your time rather than bashing. This isn't the 2010s anymore anyways).
 3. Make spriteswaps or paletteswaps of him, because doing them is laziness and is disrespectful.

-THINGS THAT REQUIRE PERMISSION-
 1. As I tend to have trust issues with some Mugen content creators, editing him requires permission from me. Note that what can be edited
are combos, gameplay, and other stuff, but absolutely no NSFW/18+ edits as mentioned earlier.
 2. Using codes from the character if you're creating a Mugen character yourself. It's better to learn how to code instead of steal, so
if you would want to use some of his code, ask me first.
 3. Use of sprites in a different project.

-KNOWN ISSUES-
 1. The A.I. code is not perfect, but I tried.
 2. There's a chance Meeple can glitch out for a frame when he lands after using her aerial strong normal. I did try my best to fix
 it though.

-OTHER NOTES-
 1. This character was made only for Mugen 1.0 and up. Older versions of Mugen will not load the character.
 2. Tested on Mugen 1.1, but still works on Mugen 1.0.

6. INSTALLATION

Struggling with adding Meeple to your roster? No worries, here's how to do it:

1. Unpack the character's folder and add it in the chars folder
2. Go to data and open select
3. Paste the following name in the character section: Meeple

And here you go! Meeple should now appear anytime you start Mugen.
